There is a fascinating documentary making the rounds at film festivals across the United States. Similar to Myths of the Rune Stone, Lost Conquest shows how belief in the Kensington Rune Stone serves an important social and psychological role for many people. The film was directed and produced by Mike Scholtz. Read my recent review of the film titled “Representing the True Believer in Scholarship and Film.” Future film festival appearances include the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival February 19-28, 2016 in Missoula, Montana and the Fargo Film Festival March 15-19, 2016 in North Dakota.
