Mea culpa

As hard as we try to get the story right, historians can still make mistakes. I’ll do my best to account for any factual errors on this page as I become aware of them.


I misspelled the name of Dr. Richard Nielsen throughout the book. You can find out more about his research of the Kensington Rune Stone at his website. Also, on page 194, footnote 12, I mistakenly said Dr. Nielsen was banned from the Runestone Museum. I have been informed by Dr. Jim Bergquist, executive director of the Runestone Museum, that this is incorrect. When I return to Philadelphia next week, I will review my research notes and provide more clarification on this matter.
